VACANCY FOR FINANCE & HR OFFICER AT SAWTRY JUNIOR ACADEMY

Salary: Grade 6, Point 7-12, £22,369 - £24,496 FTE (£19,620 - £21,485 actual)

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time + 10 days)

Are you an effective and efficient person, with the ability to manage the finances of a school? Can you maintain and manage HR requirements? We are looking for an organised, responsible Finance & HR Officer to join our friendly, supportive team at Sawtry Junior Academy. 

The Opportunity 

• Managing and processing orders, invoices, and lettings
• Actively identify and apply for grants to fund proposed activities
• Prepare and provide accurate financial advice, reports and information
• Process payroll services, maintain and manage staff records and be the first point of contact for all staff on pay and contract matters
• Hold the post of equalities representative 
• Maintain good working relationships

The ideal candidate

• Has a good educational background, with GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English Language
• Has experience of working in a similar role
• Is knowledgeable working with IT, particularly Office suite
• Is capable in accounting procedures and processes and has a high level of accuracy when working with data
• Able to prioritise, communicate and contribute effectively
• Is committed, reliable and has excellent professional standards
