Job Description

Polam Hall School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Finance Officer to provide an efficient, courteous and effective financial service to the Academy and Trust. In addition to provide additional functions as directed by the Business Manager and HR Manager with regard to finance, payroll and HR.

The successful candidate will need to evidence the following attributes and experience:

  • self-motivated, well-organised and able to work on own initiative;
  • ability and willingness to work flexibly;
  • proficient in working with Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Excel and Word;
  • experience of using an accounts package and financial management;
  • awareness of payroll and pension processes would be an advantage.

Polam Hall School is a 4-19 co-educational day and boarding school which converted to Free School Status in September 2015. It is now part of Woodard Academies Trust and forms part of the Trust's Northern Hub.

This is a very exciting time at Polam Hall. The school has grown to its current 740 pupils over the last three years and will continue to expand until it reaches a roll of around 880.

At Polam Hall we aim to build creativity, confidence and compassion in our young people. The vision of the School moving forward is to retain a focus on the individual, on providing opportunities and the holistic development of each child.

Polam Hall School is a 4 – 16 all-through academy and is part of Woodard Academies Trust. We have 790 pupils on roll, with one and a half forms of entry in our Primary Phase and four forms in our Secondary Phase.
