The Role

Chulmleigh Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and friendly person to join our committed and hardworking administration and finance team. 

The role is to provide comprehensive finance and administrative support and the successful candidate will need to be confident with excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills.  The post holder will need to be able to prioritise work to meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.  The post holder will have responsibility for purchase orders, cash reconciliation, weekly banking and producing financial reports. The role also includes supporting trip leaders with the planning, approval and management of educational visits. 

Experience of working in a school finance team environment would be an advantage, although not essential as training will be provided.  More importantly, we are looking for candidates with potential.

This role is term-time only and based at Chulmleigh Community College and will involve working with the other schools within the Trust.

In February 2018, an Ofsted inspection confirmed we were a Good College where pupils consistently make exceptional progress.   GCSE results at the College are consistently outstanding and we are delighted with the outstanding +0.51 Progress 8 success achieved by our students in 2018, which is ‘well above’ the national and county average. Ebacc results have consistently been amongst the best in the region.  Our students are keen to learn and recognised for their exemplary behaviour.
