We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive and professional Finance Officer to support the finance function at Ellis Guilford School. We require an individual capable of creating well organised, structured routines to ensure that the workload of the Finance Team is carried out to a high standard of accuracy, in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with the Trust’s financial regulations.

You will lead a small team and be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of all the Trust’s financial transactions to agreed deadlines. You will be responsible for all aspects of book keeping, including sales and purchase ledger, reconciliations, cash, banking and nominal ledger administration.

A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential to the Finance Officer role, as well as good communication and problem-solving skills. You will also need to be able to assimilate new information quickly and work in an environment that is fast paced with competing demands. Along with strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel and previous experience of working with a finance system such as PS Financials, you will be able to manage your own workload and respond swiftly to tight deadlines.

The role is 37 hours per week, term time only plus some limited requirement to work in the school holidays which will be agreed with the successful candidate.
