Job overview

The London Institute of Banking & Finance has a heritage of more than 135 years of delivering world-class, professional education to students in the UK and internationally. It is a not-for-profit educational body with charitable status, incorporated by Royal Charter.

We aim to ensure that young people leave school with the skills and understanding to manage their own finances. We seek to inspire the next generation of finance and banking professionals through these courses and the Student Investor Challenge, our annual stocks and shares trading game.

Due to expansion we require two home-based Relationship Managers to cover parts of the Midlands and the North of England. They will be responsible for existing and new relationships with schools and colleges. Many of our Relationship Managers (RM) have first-hand experience of teaching our qualifications and therefore support implementation and delivery. RM’s help to tailor delivery of these to meet individual needs. They are well positioned to demonstrate the importance of financial capability, to inspire students to engage and progress academically and with our strong links to the Financial Services industry they can give advice and support to students on career options and progression routes.

The ideal candidate will have experience of and understand the key issues that affect decision making in schools.  Teaching experience, preferably on The London Institute of Banking and Finance’s qualifications programmes is an advantage.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential. Key requirements of the role include an ability to identify new potential sources of business, influencing skills and effective time management. You will be a confident, self-starter who is keen to develop and contribute to improving how we work, who will thrive on the variety and changing nature of the role.

These positions will also be available to candidates looking on a full-time or more flexible basis (for example, part-time or term-time working).
