We have exciting opportunities for customer focused and experienced fitness instructors who can play a key role within the fitness team at our first-class sports centre at Uppingham School.
The Fitness Instructor will provide all visitors with a friendly and positive experience, through delivering excellent customer service, and providing support and advice in achieving their fitness goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Making sure the Fitness Studio is kept safe, clean and tidy at all times for our members and pupils to use in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Delivering high levels of service in customer care to our members and pupils
- Supervising pupils and members to ensure their safety
- Creating fitness programs for pupils and members
- Delivering group exercise sessions to groups of pupils as and when required
The following positions and working hours are available:
Position 1: 31.27 hours per week, working every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as some Fridays and weekends on a 3-week rota.
Position 2: 31.04 hours per week, working every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, as well as some Fridays and weekends on a 3-week rota.
Position 3: 24.91 hours per week, working every Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as some Fridays and weekends on a 3-week rota.

Uppingham School is a mixed, Church of England independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding, located in Leicestershire. The secondary school, situated in Uppingham has approximately 791 students on record.
Uppingham School was founded in 1584, originally as a school for boys. In 1975 girls were admitted, and it became fully co-educational as of 2001. The majority of students attending the secondary school are boarders.
