Focus School Cottingham is seeking to appoint an outstanding Food Technology teacher on a part time basis from April 2018 or sooner. We are a small, successful Y3-13 mixed independent school with a strong Christian ethos located in the picturesque village of Cottingham, near to the city of Hull.
The school has undergone a rapid and sustained transformation in recent times and is a strong member of the OneSchool organisation (the largest body of independent schools in the world). We are at the cutting edge of technology and educational innovation and we place the success and happiness of our pupils, Self-Directed Learning and our unique and comprehensive CPD programme at the heart of all we do.
The school was judged to be “Good with Outstanding features” in its most recent School Inspection Service (SIS) report. The school is aiming and on track to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas at the next inspection due in October 2018. The school benefits from excellent teaching and support staff, well-behaved and engaged students and small class sizes.
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Food Technology teacher on a permanent basis, three days a week. The successful candidate will be an inspiring educator with an overt passion for their chosen subject and profession. You will have the ability to teach GCSE Food and Nutrition and will be expected to teach additional enrichment programmes.
