Ardley Hill is an academy status primary school in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. The school has a nursery facility, and in total there are around 450 children between the ages of 2-11 on the school roll. In June 2016 all pupils were temporarily moved to Brewers Hill school after the Ardley Hill site was affected by serious flooding, which was repaired in time for the start of the Autumn term. Each class named after a different country, from Norway in Year 1 to Brazil in Year 6.

Values and vision

Staff, governors and parents of Ardley Hill Academy work together to provide a secure, happy environment where all children receive a high quality, broad and balanced education appropriate to their individual needs. Ardley Hill aims to stimulate each child, regardless of gender, race or social background, to learn to think and express themselves creatively.
Extra-curricular activity is also an important part of life at the school. Ardley Sharks are swimming lessons on weekdays after school and Saturday mornings. The school also has clubs for tennis, craft, drama, and roller skating.

Ofsted

“The provision in the pre-school is well planned and helps the children develop confidence and speaking skills. Children in the pre-school play well together. Key workers praise and reinforce the good behaviour that they wish to see. As a result, children share and take turns, using polite language with each other.”
