North London Collegiate School International seeks an inspirational Founding Head to launch and lead NLCS in Singapore. Opening in September 2020 as a co-educational day school for pupils aged 3-18 years, this exciting new venture will bring NLCS’s ethos of rigorous scholarship, extra-curricular excellence and outstanding pastoral care to Singapore.

This is a unique opportunity to establish and shape the development of a school which aims to become one of Asia’s leading educational institutions. With the full support and educational expertise of NLCS International, the Founding Principal will establish NLCS (Singapore) as a thriving learning community offering the IB Continuum up to age 16 and the IB Diploma in the Sixth Form. The school’s focus on subject-based learning and individual pastoral care will nurture confident and committed scholars who are active international citizens.

The successful candidate will combine a track record of highly successful leadership experience, developed in the UK or internationally, with the cultural awareness, political nous and global perspective to inspire the entire NLCS community and manage diverse stakeholder relationships. Our London school has a key role in recruiting and training our teaching staff. At NLCS (Singapore), we understand that often it’s what students do beyond the curriculum that helps to shape their personalities and enables them to standout. Our Inspirational Teaching spills out far beyond the standard timetable of lessons into our enrichment programme. We aim to achieve excellence in scholarship, research, reflection, public speaking, debate and other pursuits.
