French and Spanish Language Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable French with Spanish Assistant to support and provide assistance to our Modern Languages Department. The successful candidate will be a native French and Spanish speaker and support French and Spanish across the ability and age range of our students. You will need to be flexible and be able to work under pressure and have an understanding of equal opportunities. Successful experience of working with young people is desirable.

Ernest Bevin College is an 11-19 boys’ school with 1250 on roll. We have a mixed sixth form of 370 students based in state of the art buildings with good transport links. Our last Ofsted inspection judged the school to be OUTSTANDING.

In 2018, 60% of students obtained both English and Maths at GCSE at Grade 4+, 47% students obtained both English and Maths at GCSE at Grade 5+. Last year 130 students from our 6th Form went to University, 70 to study STEM related subjects.

We are an Elite Sports College competing at national and international level in a range of sports. We have full time coaches for volleyball, judo and table tennis and fantastic sports facilities including a swimming pool and fitness studio. These facilities are extensively used by students and staff free of charge.

We are one of only 4 schools in the country to have been awarded STEM Assured status, the only school in London to have a Combined Cadet Force on site and we have recently formed a Cricket Academy in partnership with Twenty20 Community Cricket.
