ABC Teachers are working closely with a popular school in Shirley, Solihull to recruit a full-time teaching assistant to join their team from Easter half term. The position will be working primarily in KS2 mixed ability groups. 

The school is a highly popular 2 form entry which has modern learning resources across the school and also benefits from good outdoor learning facilities, including large playing fields. The school is a vibrant setting to engage young learners and the staff here are friendly and supportive.

The Head is looking to recruit a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who is a patient and caring individual who can maintain high standards and thrive as part of a team. You will be a patient and approachable individual and you will be able to make a noticeable difference to learning and attainment with small groups of pupils. You must be proficient in literacy and numeracy and have excellent communication skills. 

This is a long-term role which will potentially be a permanent position for September 2019. Please note that only candidates who are NVQ level 3 qualified (equivalent or above) will be considered for this position. 

What to do next:

To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce. You will need to pay for this upfront, but once you are fully registered, have uploaded this onto the Update Service and have worked 1 full day with us then we will reimburse you the cost.  At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you. 

We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
