Facilities

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a very well resourced teaching and learning environment, providing an excellent array of facilities to assist in the achievement of quality outcomes for its students. Spacious well-equipped classrooms, featuring quality technology resources are throughout the school whilst the large covered quadrangle and modern, multi-purpose hall, are invaluable assets to the community. Various sporting courts and grass covered playing fields are also prominent features of the safe and open playground spaces.

Curriculum

Sacred Heart uses contemporary learning practices, as evidenced by the open and flexible learning spaces, in association with an inquiry approach, to deliver the curriculum to the students. The school is considered a ‘lighthouse school’ for collaborative learning and team teaching. Teachers plan, deliver and assess learning within the curriculum collaboratively thus allowing for all learning styles to be catered for, individual student goal setting, feedback to students and peer feedback. The school has four major curriculum focus areas, them being: Literacy and Numeracy, Inquiry and Learning, Catholic Life and Identity and Technology.

School ethos

Sacred Heart Primary School seeks to be a mindful school, with a thinking curriculum where it is understood that Christ is the foundation of all learning and therein commits all members of the school community to love and service.
