German Language Assistant

Clifton High School is an academically selective, co-educational, independent day school for 600 pupils aged 3-18 years.  Situated on a beautiful Bristol site, we operate the Diamond Edge Model of education underpinned by a strong pastoral and family ethos.

The Modern Foreign Language department currently comprises four well-qualified subject specialists in German, Spanish and French and three Language Assistants. It benefits from having a language hub and its own staff office.

We would like to hear from enthusiastic, well organised and engaging native-level German speakers who are keen to share their passion for the German language and culture with motivated, high-achieving students. Language Assistants play an important role in preparing students for AQA speaking examinations and will work with students individually, in small groups or by assisting the teacher in the classroom. 

The successful candidate will be able to create resources and games and lead enjoyable discussions that challenge students of all abilities, including native and Oxbridge candidates to develop their confidence and spoken precision.
