We are currently looking to appoint a 0.8 salaried tutor to help us deliver our “Get Into Learning” project.  This project is delivered out in the community and seeks to engage residents into learning through short, easily accessible learning opportunities that give learners the confidence and motivation to progress onto more sustained learning. These courses are often practical and creative in nature and many of the learners have limited language skills.

The post holder would mainly support the Get into Learning project but may also  on other outreach programmes with an ESOL and employability focus and as such may be required to teach ESOL courses contextualized to a vocational setting or ESOL with Employability, both within Camden and in neighbouring boroughs.

We are looking for a creative and versatile tutor, with ESOL teaching qualifications and experience, an ability to embed employability into their teaching and able to also deliver craft-based learning at an introductory level.  Examples of courses we offer on the Get into Learning programme are card-making, candle-decoration, flower-arranging, henna, aromatherapy, crochet, jewellery making, sewing, glass-painting, beauty on a budget, cake decorating etc.
