Cumnor House Sussex is one of the country’s leading independent Prep, Pre-Prep and Nursery schools, offering a broad and excellent education within beautiful country surroundings. 

We have an exciting opportunity for graduates considering a career in education. We invite you to join a team of university leavers and gap assistants who provide valuable support across the school. This is a fixed-term residential position that will combine working in the classroom and on the sports field, with assisting with boarding and involvement in the wider life of our vibrant Prep School. Depending on your specialism, we will allocate a proportion of the weekly timetable to a particular department of choice to aid your development.

The school will provide full-board accommodation during term time, and a salary of around be £18,500 per annum (on a pro rata basis) for the 10-month contract plus opportunities for professional development and training.
