Benenden, one of the country’s leading boarding schools, is seeking to recruit paid academic graduate interns in Drama and Performing Arts. 

You will be a dynamic, creative and conscientious graduate with strong subject expertise who can contribute to and support the teaching and enrichment in the subject area, as well as make a significant contribution to either the co-curricular or boarding life of the school. 

We will pay a salary of £16,000, subsidised accommodation will be available in exchange for additional boarding duties on site or local to the school, and we will support you with a structured, nurturing training programme that will be a springboard for your future career. 

Benenden has a gym, swimming pool, extensive grounds in the heart of the English countryside, and meals are provided free to staff whilst on duty. Each year there are school trips across the world which are free to supervising staff. The students are motivated, well-behaved, eager to learn and have fun and the school is their much-loved second home. The staff are dedicated, highly qualified professionals who truly love what they do and provide a warm and collegiate atmosphere in which to live and work. 

Benenden School was founded in 1923 and is situated in 240 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 550 girls in the school, aged 11-18. Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school, with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and we are currently working to establish a new School Hall and Music School.
