King Edward’s School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of Graduate PE Assistant (Rugby Specialism) to join a strong, very supportive and friendly department in an exceptional school from 1st September 2021.

An opportunity to work at King Edward’s School, Birmingham as a rugby coach and assist the PE programme has become available, from September 2021. The role will suit anyone looking for a future in teaching, or coaching, or for someone who is passionate about working with young people in sport. For the right candidate, a programme of support will be put in place that may lead towards further teaching training.

The role requires the successful candidate to be available for a full time role including supporting extra-curricular activities in early evenings (until 6pm) and on Saturdays throughout term time. The role has a salary of £18,268 (PE1). We are looking for someone who can lead the coaching of a rugby team and support the teaching of PE lessons. The ability to support the sport programme with another area of expertise, such as Strength & Conditioning or Video Analysis would be advantageous but not essential.
