We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and forward thinking graphic design teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and teaching on our Foundation Degree Graphic Design course as well as contributing to the teaching on our BTEC Graphics courses at levels 2 and 3. We are specifically looking for a Graphics teacher who has proven experience of teaching at levels 4-5 and is able to deliver the traditional design techniques and disciplines including branding, illustration, design for web, typography and advertising, as well as up to date experience of using digital design software. We are currently using Adobe Creative Cloud. Experience of using Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator is essential and the ability to use any of the other programs on the suite is desirable. The successful candidate for this post must be an excellent communicator, motivator and efficient teacher in terms of delivery, paperwork and organisation, with comprehensive subject knowledge. An enthusiasm to develop work related learning through the use of commercial briefs is also welcomed. Someone who embraces new initiatives, who is a team player and is able to contribute to future changes within the department. The ability to contribute to teaching other Art & Design areas would be an advantage, for example Photography or Product Design.
