The successful applicant will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Good Shepherd is seeking a grounds person. The successful applicant will be skilled in grounds repair and whole school maintenance tasks using a range of tools and equipment, inclusive of a ride on mower. The position also includes landscaping and maintenance of gardens. A demonstrated capacity to work within OHS regulations is essential. Good Shepherd is a co-educational Primary School with an enrolment of 350 students for 2019 and growing. Good Shepherd values a positive school climate and an inclusive culture.


Good Shepherd Catholic School Springfield Lakes opened in 2013 with Prep to Year 3.  Our twenty-first century students need to learn in contemporary, collaborative ways that allow them to adapt, apply and transfer new skills and knowledge, show respect towards others, embrace technological and social change and equip themselves with skills that will allow them to be lifelong learners in a rapidly changing world.

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks - plus additional hours/weeks as negotiated

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   12 months (fixed term)

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   20 hours per week required to work Monday to Friday.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
