The Governing Council seek to appoint an outstanding candidate who will help shape the strategic direction of this busy and dynamic day school.
Founded in 1876, Edgbaston High School (EHS) is Birmingham’s oldest independent school for girls. Conveniently situated in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston with close access to the city, EHS provides a 21st century education based on traditional values, with approximately 900 pupils from ages 2½ to 18.
EHS is an ambitious school and continues to invest in exciting projects, including the Octagon performance space, a state-of-the-art Sixth Form area, a fitness suite and a new library and art room for the Preparatory School.

The post is for September 2019 and commands a competitive package of benefits commensurate with other leading schools.

The Governing Council are looking to appoint a Head who will:

• Be an outstanding and ambitious school leader, committed to success and knowledgeable about the whole age range from 2½ to 18
• Have personal integrity, effective intelligence when making decisions and the ability to lead and motivate a community of professional staff
• Have a keen and knowledgeable awareness of contemporary educational issues, and a natural flair for communication, PR and networking
