HEAD – SAINT PIERRE SCHOOL, LEIGH-ON-SEA, ESSEX.

The Proprietors of Saint Pierre School invite applications for the role of Head to commence in January, 2019.

The role comes about due to the semi-retirement of the current Headmaster, who will remain at the school but in a less active role. The role could suit a Deputy Head seeking their first headship or a serving Head looking for a different challenge in a beautiful part of the world. The role will involve some teaching and experience in preparing children for entrance examinations would be seen as desirable. This really is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to lead the school into the next phase of its successful development. The chosen candidate will enjoy considerable autonomy but will still enjoy the experienced support of both Proprietors and the Deputy Head.

Saint Pierre School is an ISA one form entry prep school of 120 children aged two and a half to eleven, a good proportion of whom move on to grammar school at the end of Year 6. The school’s greatest strength is its wonderful family ethos and this must be maintained by the new incumbent.
