Job overview

The Governors of St Piran's School are seeking to appoint a new Head to follow the highly successful 18-year headship of Jonathan Carroll. His successor will lead this creative and forward-thinking school built on strong foundations of excellence.

St Piran’s School is a vibrant, buzzing, co-educational preparatory school for boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years where children are nurtured as individuals. Confidence is ‘the cornerstone of the St Piran’s ethos’ and each child leaves the school able to hold their own in any social, emotional or academic arena. The children are valued and respected and consequently are open and articulate. Standards are high and children are encouraged and supported to give of their very best.

With a unique location in this thriving town, St Piran’s School is set in expansive grounds providing a ‘country education’ in a picturesque part of Berkshire that is within easy reach of London. Facilities on the campus are exceptional and there is ample opportunity for further development. There is a 4-bedroom house available for the Head onsite, if required.

The Governors are looking for an outstanding leader with energy, humour and compassion. The successful candidate will embrace the excitement generated by everyone in the school for inspirational skills-based learning and extra-curricular enrichment.

Founded on Christian values, St Piran’s School promotes love, justice, tolerance, respect, honesty, service and trust where the safety and welfare of the children is paramount.
