Sandwell College is a great place to work; a large, successful, richly diverse and growing college that has achieved significant success over recent years and has further, big ambitions for its future. With over 5,200 young people studying there it has significant plans for further expansion across its core 16-18 market, apprenticeships and Higher Education. It is also working on skills development for adult students and has 4,000 students enrolled on these programmes.    

The college has two state of the art campuses in West Bromwich accessible through excellent transport links and, having recently merged with Cadbury College, now has a dedicated Sixth Form College in Birmingham.  

This is an exciting time for the college to develop its work with schools and it has approval to act as an academy sponsor.    This is a key, new role at the college and the successful candidate will bring a previous track record of success. They will have responsibility for managing the effective delivery of all apprenticeship provision, ensuring that apprentices and employers have an outstanding experience with the college. 

 With a well-proven ability to establish new and develop existing relationships with local and regional employers, the appointee will ensure that the college responds effectively to employer needs, growing and adapting offers to fit with demand ensuring that exceptional levels of quality and service are achieved in line with its high aspirations.    

If you have proven success within apprenticeships, are equipped to act as a credible ambassador on behalf of the college to a range of its external stakeholders, are resilient, influential and have significant experience of improving and quality assuring apprenticeship provision then get in touch.

 It has two state of the art campuses in West Bromwich accessible through excellent transport links and, following a successful merger with Cadbury Sixth Form College, has an exciting presence in Birmingham.  

The majority of the College’s full-time students are aged 16-18, studying courses designed to give them skills for the modern workplace in a learning environment fully equipped with a specialist automotive centre, beauty and hairdressing salons, computer suites, construction workshops, engineering and science laboratories, fashion and photography studios, a sports hall and a 170-seater theatre.
