Hartland International School seeks to appoint an exceptional and dynamic, well-qualified Teacher of Arabic Language to lead the Arabic Department.
The school which opened in September 2015, is rapidly developing a reputation for excellence in learning and teaching. Located in the heart of Dubai, in a developing residential community, Hartland’s unique vantage point is the iconic landmark of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall and Downtown Business area of the city. The school will operate from Foundation Stage to Year 10 and anticipates natural year on year growth in the secondary section in the coming years. We offer the National Curriculum for England and plan to offer GCSE’s / IGCSE’s, ‘A’ Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

The successful candidate will be required to show leadership in securing standards of excellence in teaching and learning and will have the necessary skills needed to devise a curriculum which will stimulate and motivate students to achieve. There is a very strong enrichment programme at the school and the successful candidate will be expected to make a contribution to this, joining a committed and exceptional staff group. Arabic is an important core subject in the school and as such, this is a significant role of responsibility in our drive to raise standards.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a relevant honours degree, (BA with PGCE / PGDE and QTS or equivalent)
- Have experience of teaching in a UK curriculum or similar setting
- Have relevant experience at subject leadership or middle management level
- Demonstrate a clear and practical knowledge of how to raise attainment and progress and the use of data to support excellence
- Have a minimum 5 years’ teaching experience
- Have exceptional communication skills
- Be committed to the Hartland Values
