An exciting opportunity has arisen to head the department of Art at St Aloysius’ College. The successful candidate will lead, manage, direct and influence the work of the Art department while developing and ensuring the effective delivery of the teaching of Art and Graphics throughout the school.
In addition to the general responsibilities of a teacher, the Head of Art is responsible for the delivery of the Art curriculum through the School and for encouraging a significant engagement in co and extra curricular activities which promote a love of art generally. There is no preference as to the art specialism offered by applicants.
Visit the school website here to apply.
Interviews will take place on Tuesday 29th October and will comprise a formal interview, an appropriate exercise, an observed lesson, a tour of the College and engagement with students.
The Head Master would be very pleased to discuss the post and any other aspect of the College with potential applicants and can be contacted directly by email or on 07961 549923.
You should nominate two referees to support your application (please note referees will be asked to assess you against the person specification rather than being generic in nature).
St Aloysius’ College places safeguarding of its students as its highest priority and as such references will be taken up before the first round of interviews and the successful applicant will be subject to appropriate qualification checks and advanced PVG clearance. Appropriate safeguarding and safer recruitment questions will form part of the selection process.
