RDFZ King's College School Hangzhou is one of two new school development projects in China initiated through partnership between the highly successful Chinese education management group, Dipont Education and the prestigious King's College School, Wimbledon. A third partner for the Hangzhou project is The High School Affiliated to Renmin University (RDFZ), one of China's leading schools. At capacity, the whole school will serve over 3,000 students from 3 to 18 years of age.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Boarding/Pastoral Care and Executive Principal, the successful applicant will join the school in February 2020
Boarding is a very important aspect of the school and an integral part of the educational programme. Five-day boarding is provided for students aged 12 to 18 across grades 7 to 12. The school currently has over 300 boarders (girls and boys) with significant capacity to develop further (up to 800 boarders). The Head of Boys’ Boarding will coordinate the duties of teachers and boarding staff and liaise with pastoral leaders. A vertical house system operates across the school. In developing a high-quality boarding provision, the successful applicant will need to ensure effective communication among boarding and pastoral staff and build close links between the boarding provision and the families it serves. The role operates on a reduced teaching timetable to allow sufficient time for boarding responsibilities.
This exciting and challenging role commands a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including high-quality housing; flights for employee and dependents and medical insurance for employee and dependents. Full tuition support will be provided for any successful applicant with school-age children. The position will be offered on an initial three-year contract term with annual renewal thereafter.
