This is a unique role providing the successful applicant with the opportunity to shape the Academy’s digital strategy, whilst leading a dedicated team. As the world of work develops, we must ensure that our students are equipped to succeed in an ever changing landscape. The Co-op is our Trust’s sponsor and we are less than 3 miles away from their iconic support centre in central Manchester. The role will include significant engagement with the broad range of business and digital aspects of their multi million pound business.

The right candidate will have the drive and ambition to achieve excellence in teaching and learning and to share excellent practice within your subject area across the Academy. You will put young people first and have the highest expectations of them, yourself and others. Great interpersonal skills are key to effective leadership and management as well as being able to develop relationships both within the Academy and beyond.

The Head of Business and Computing will lead the department in delivering this exciting role so that the highest standards are achieved. Co-op Academy North Manchester is a large campus set in nine acres of urban woodland and the learning spaces incorporate state of the art ICT, media and performance spaces. The Computing, IT and Business department is well-resourced following recent developments to this area. Co-op Academy North Manchester is a secondary school based in Blackley. We are extremely ambitious for our pupils and work hard to ensure that they leave the Academy equipped to lead happy and successful lives.
