HEAD OF CHEMISTRY

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to take on the leadership of a well-resourced and successful Chemistry Department from September 2019, or sooner if possible.

The role would suit someone seeking promotion and looking to take on wider responsibility, or an experienced Head of Department willing to work as part of a team with the other Heads of Science.  The Head of Chemistry will provide the department with dynamic and creative leadership, building on the considerable academic progress that has taken place in recent years. The Head of Chemistry will also be expected to contribute to the many activities of the thriving Science Department. 

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven record of high academic outcomes for pupils across Years 7 to 13. They will possess the leadership and communications skills necessary to support and motivate others. Successful applicants will have an understanding of the commitment required in a large boarding and day school.

RHS has its own salary scale, outstanding development opportunities and subsidised accommodation may be available.
