Head of Communications

The Post

We are looking to appoint a Head of Communications at Ashfold School to manage communications with parents and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies for promoting the School to prospective parents, staff and the wider community. With a passion for creativity, they will be able to utilise their knowledge of marketing systems to develop existing strategies to enhance further the profile of the School.

Possessing significant experience of working in a marketing, PR or communications role, the successful candidate will be able to work to deadlines both collaboratively and on their own initiative.  They will naturally possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, accomplished IT and organisational skills, and an ability to foster positive relationships with the children, staff and the wider school community.  

The School

Ashfold is an established co-educational Preparatory School for around 280 children aged 3 - 13, set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own 30-acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside just 30 minutes from Oxford. 

The school has expanded significantly over the last 15 years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects, within a small caring family community where children know both each other and all of the staff.
