St. Augustine’s C.E. Following our 2016 results, St. Augustine’s was recognised by The Minister of State for Education as being amongst the 100 top performing schools nationally in terms of the progress that our pupils on free school meals make between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4 (including English and Maths). We were also recognised as being in the top 7% of schools nationally for the progress made by students.

Who are we looking for?

A talented, committed and inspirational Subject Leader for Computing for September 2018, who will lead this area of our curriculum and also lead and inspire our staff team in our use of technology to enhance learning.
 The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of computer science across the whole age and ability range.

The successful applicant will:

Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the content required by the new computing syllabus (KS3-KS5)

Possess a wide range of programming skills, including fluency in languages such as Python, HTML, Java and C#. 

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Have excellent time management & organisation skills. You must be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure and deliver results.

Be an outstanding classroom practitioner, delivering a range of resources and lessons that will stimulate, engage and challenge students of all abilities

St. Augustine’s Federated schools consists of primary and secondary voluntary aided Church of England schools, located in a diverse multi ethnic, inner city community situated in Maida Vale / Kilburn close to the heart of London.

Our comprehensive secondary school’s results have improved significantly over the last few years and Key Stage 3 results are now above the national average. The number of students achieving 5+ A*-C has increased significantly and the school achieved record results in 2006 and 2007.
