Job overview

Join a happy team and highly successful school, with excellent working conditions, in the independent sector.

Prospect House School is an independent prep school in Putney for children aged 3 to 11. We are looking for an outstanding teacher of Computing who is able to drive standards, impact teaching and learning and to lead digital literacy throughout the school.

To join our happy and committed team you need to be an outstanding teacher, have an up-to-date knowledge of the computing curriculum, able to enthuse and inspire children and have a 'can do' approach to teaching and school life. In return, we offer a friendly and supportive working environment, excellent non-contact time and the opportunity to further your career both on the job and by undertaking further training and professional development. We actively encourage the exploration of new developments in digital technology and how it positively impacts the whole school and because of this, we have a generous budget. You will also be part of House Schools Group’s digital learning committee, where you will be sharing regularly with like-minded innovators such as Apple Distinguished Educators, Google Certified Teachers and Raspberry Pi Certified Educators. The role is professionally interesting and, in teaching terms, fun. The successful candidate must also be able to train and support colleagues in order to make sure that the use of ICT is effective and benefits the children’s learning.

He or she will be well-qualified (with a proven track record), creative and forward thinking, and have a good understanding of how to use data, make decisions and lead staff.

Prospect House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Closing date for applications: Monday 25th June 2018, although an appointment may be made before this date if an early applicant should prove successful.
