Farleigh Further Education College Frome is an independent specialist residential college for young people aged 16 to 25 who have an ASD diagnosis.
The college provides a varied range of learning opportunities including both academic and vocational pathways. Learning is delivered both on site at Farleigh FE College and off site, where we work with a range of external partners including local FE colleges.
We aim to provide every young person with an individually tailored programme of education, care, work experience, leisure and life skills and training within the community, to enable them to live as independently as possible.
Our dedicated team of staff create a safe, secure and supportive environment where our learners have a sense of belonging. Our approach enables young people to develop the confidence and skills they need to progress towards adulthood, including further or higher education and sustainable independent living in the community.
We are seeking an experienced educational practitioner to lead and develop our on site curriculum and manage the quality of the provision. The ideal candidate will be an experienced qualified teacher, with excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills. Working at Farleigh FE College offers a unique opportunity to develop bespoke programmes of learning for young people to encourage and facilitate positive outcomes and development.
Experience of working in a SEN environment is desirable, along with knowledge of ASD and complex needs.
We are looking at candidates who can either specialise in on-site or off-site provision to join our exciting college.
For all roles we require a minimum of two references. References provided must cover the last 3 years, or you are applying to work within our Children’s Homes we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
