Become part of the aspirational Ark Alexandra family and work alongside our dedicated team to spark a passion for learning in our young people which will last a lifetime and raise the expectations of a community. We believe that all our students can achieve excellence, and that they all deserve the very best education in order to secure their place at university or a career of their choice.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the academy following the journey of Ark Helenswood and Ark William Parker, both previously single sex schools which have come together as one co-educational, Church of England school with a mixed sixth form provision in Hastings. Hastings is a vibrant seaside town situated in East Sussex, a county steeped in English history and areas of natural beauty.

We take the well-being of our staff seriously, as we recognise that teaching can be a challenging profession. As the ideal candidate you will:

• Be committed to raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment

• Have experience of teaching French and Spanish

• Have excellent leadership and management skills

• Have a resilient character and a strong personal drive

• Have proven experience working successfully with students of all abilities

• Be able to show evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of their subject

• Be committed to continually improving classroom practice

• A desire to deliver enrichment activities after school

• Be committed to Ark’s ethos of high expectations and no excuses.
