Dulwich College Seoul is a well-established and successful international school in the heart of one of Asia’s most dynamic cities. In partnership with Dulwich College London and its sister schools in China, Singapore and Myanmar, Dulwich College Seoul upholds the traditions and outstanding educational standards which have become the hallmark of the Dulwich name in the U.K. and Asia.
The College currently has 650 students from 41 different nationalities across 6 continents, with just over 400 of those studying in Primary School, comprising Nursery to Year 6 classes. Our students are eager to learn, curious and creative and our families are highly supportive and keen to be involved.
Seoul is a modern, cosmopolitan city with an outstanding restaurant and arts scene, great hiking and sports opportunities, a fascinating history and an exciting fast paced future! Our staff enjoy travelling throughout Korea and the region during holidays, and explore Seoul at the weekends via the extensive subway system. This is a very liveable, safe city with something for everyone.
We seek an inspirational HEAD OF EARLY YEARS to lead our 4 class EYFS department and to contribute to the development and leadership of the Primary School as a member of the 4 person Primary Leadership Team. From Aug 2019.
At least 6 years teaching experience is required in the U.K. or overseas (preferably teaching the English National Curriculum), regardless of nationality. All applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a first degree plus a post-graduate qualification in education (i.e. PGCE, or equivalent).
In return, successful candidates will be working in a dynamic, purpose-built Primary School with dedicated colleagues and highly motivated students. Our EYFS comprises a modern, naturally lit open-plan setting for 4 small classes, opening out onto a newly renovated outdoor learning environment. The outdoors has planted areas with trees and flowers, water features, digging spaces and quiet areas, alongside opportunities for climbing, loose parts construction, bikes and creative activities. Inside, there are EYFS breakout spaces, a nearby DUCKS student kitchen, and adjoining the setting, there is a large multipurpose room and the Primary Library. This is a lovely environment which has been beautifully developed by our EYFS team to ensure opportunities for all students across the EYFS and the DCI Engaging Spaces programmes. We are very proud of all that our EYFS achieves and we look forward to building on these many successes in the future.
Teachers receive an attractive salary (at generous tax rates) and a very competitive overseas benefits package, including: generous flight allowance; comfortable, modern city-centre accommodation; living allowance; freight allowance; comprehensive health coverage and tuition for up to two children at the school.
