Values and vision
West Hill Park School wants to foster a sense of community in pupils and encourage them to become active citizens in Hampshire and beyond. Children are supported to fulfil their academic potential and engage in extra-curricular activities. The school also wants to ensure that pupils are prepared for the pressures and challenges of today’s society. It hopes to do this by developing their awareness in a happy and safe environment, alongside nurturing the confidence to excel in later life.
“In many lessons, teachers effectively build upon pupils’ prior learning and know when to support them or extend their understanding. Teachers’ positive approach to work and learning engenders a sense of fun, and promotes an enthusiastic approach and an excellent level of application amongst the pupils. Behaviour in lessons is almost always exemplary and high-quality resources are used effectively to ensure strong levels of progress.”
