About Beaulieu Convent School

About Beaulieu Convent School

Beaulieu is a Catholic private school based in Jersey. The School was founded in 1937 by a French Religious Order, the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. It moved to its present site in 1951 with 16 girls and 18 boys of infant age and has since grown to almost 840 students, ranging between ages 3-18 and is now co-educational at Sixth Form level. There are over 200 girls in the Primary School and over 600 students in the Secondary School, which includes a Sixth Form of approximately 135.

In 2000, the School was gifted to the Island from the Religious Order and acquired the status of a charitable trust, with a Trust Board assuming the assets and control of the School. In 2006, a Board of Directors was formed, appointed by the Trustees, to assume responsibility for the Governance of the School. Beaulieu works closely with the States of Jersey's Children, Young People, Education and Skills Department, and we engage fully with the initiatives and best practices available to us through this partnership.

The School is embarking on a journey of development and you will be joining us at a time of great opportunity, as we seek to enhance the learning opportunities for all at Beaulieu. You will be joining a school with an outstandingly caring ethos, where every child does matter and where it is a pleasure to work. This is a school in which the staff work collaboratively as a team to support learning development and have a genuine desire to create positive experiences for students in all that they do.
