We currently seek to appoint a well-qualified, ambitious and experienced Teacher or current Head of Department to join the school from 1 September 2021 in the role of Head of English.
This role is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape and direct progress and attainment in English at all key stages. The successful candidate will be able to further develop the use of teaching strategies which encourage a deep and scholarly engagement with the subject whilst focusing on excellent levels of achievement in all sections of the school. They will ensure that they provide innovative and reflective leadership to this large and successful department. They will be an inspirational teacher and will demonstrate high levels of commitment to the development of English at Godolphin and Latymer, including engaging with the whole school enthusiasm for evidence-informed teaching and learning.
There is a very active extra-curricular offering within the department, to which all members of the department contribute. All staff are expected to support the wider school extra-curricular programme in some way.
The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.
Accommodation may be available for new staff in a local six-unit property.
