A school is Mexico is seeking an outstanding Head of English, for August 2019. Responsibilities include leading teaching and developing the English curriculum and, to this end, IB and IGCSE experience would be an advantage.

Job Purpose: To lead and develop English at Key Stage 3, IGCSE and IB level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing best practice in teaching, learning and assessment with a focus on implementing High Performance Learning (HPL)
  • Embedding outstanding teaching which maximises student outcomes
  • Developing the use of high-quality resources for learning
  • Tracking student progress effectively
  • Framing and implementing ambitious subject plans and targets
  • Ensuring curriculums and schemes of work are up-to-date
  • Supporting the performance management system in the school
  • Contributing to school culture, supporting its vision and values
  • Knowing and implementing school policies and procedures

Compensation Package

  • Ticket Card (Supermarket): 15% of monthly salary
  • Saving Fund:   13% of monthly salary
  • Retirement Fund:   4% of monthly salary
  • Christmas bonus:   15 days of monthly salary
  • Luggage Expenses:  46 kilos reimbursed
  • Rent Allowance:   $11,750 per month
  • Settling-in allowance:   one month’s salary
  • Overseas Allowance:   $8,455 per month
