As a department, we have a vision that all students should develop a passion for reading and writing that will underpin their development in other curriculum areas. Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an outstanding and inspirational teacher who will lead our successful and thriving English department to deliver creative and engaging English lessons. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of SEND and differentiating to support learners of all abilities and supporting those students with specific needs. They will have a proven track record of motivating colleagues to raise attainment across groups of students and developing schemes of work and teaching material that is adaptable and accessible for a broad range of audiences.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and well-qualified subject specialist and will have demonstrated excellent teaching skills over a sustained period of time. They will have an understanding of the expectations of the broad and balanced curriculum. They will need to have a commitment to inclusion and inclusive practices and a proven application of Behaviour for Learning strategies. As a leader they must be able to demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and be a proactive and motivated individual.
