We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational specialist to lead our Mathematics and Computing Faculty. 

We have a team of talented and enthusiastic staff in the Faculty. We want someone with strong leadership skills, who is passionate about the learning and teaching of Mathematics and Computing, and who has the vision, commitment and determination to raise standards across all levels and abilities and to lead the faculty forward in the next phase of its development. We welcome applications from established leaders with experience of working with values that support our ethos: that every young person really does matter. In addition, you will be an ambitious and reflective colleague with the ability to engage, enthuse and inspire staff and students to support continuous improvement.

In this key role, you will lead and inspire our hard-working team in the delivery of our Mathematics and Computing curriculum, across the age and ability range. Applicants would be expected to share the school’s high aspirations and expectations for pupils and staff and have demonstrable evidence of driving teaching and learning outcomes at all levels.

You must be:

  • an outstanding UK qualified teacher who is able to inspire students;
  • a subject specialist with a related degree;
  • a team player who is able to work collaboratively with others;
  • committed to outstanding standards in all areas and willing to lead by example;
  • passionate about your specialism and willing to share skills and expertise.

Campion School in Bugbrooke, Near Northampton, is a co-educational secondary school. It became a Language College in September 1997 and an academy in 2011.

The school adopts the latest teaching pedagogy and staff engage in an internal teaching and learning development programme called “XL” (Leading to Excellent Teaching).  A continual evaluation cycle measures the effectiveness of Campion School’s work and identifies the next steps to be taken to ensure continuous improvement in all areas of teaching and learning.

To ensure that all students in the sixth form are challenged an motivated, the latest equipment for interactive lessons is utilised.
