This is an exciting time to join Exeter College as the Head of a new Faculty called Professional and adult learning. The faculty has been created to respond to employer demand in the local area as well as to provide a hub for adult learning. The successful candidate will also join our high performing College Leadership Team and benefit from bespoke Leadership Development.
This is a new faculty, comprising of Adult learning, Professional learning to include bespoke arrangements for employers in response to the levy as well as ESOL provision. Provision currently sits in different areas of the college and is all graded as OFSTED Outstanding. This is a real opportunity for someone looking to help to shape and develop provision, with a focus on employer led and adult learning who would like to help realise the colleges Strategic Vision.
The college has strong links with many local and national employers for who we deliver bespoke professional training and support their apprentices, and there is opportunity to grow this further to meet employer demand. There has been a significant rise work based learning provision within professional subjects as well as in Higher Apprenticeships. The team are passionate about delivering exceptional teaching and learning, providing the very best progression opportunities for learners with a focus on helping adults to progress their career chances. ESOL success rates have been exceptional with good rates of progression between the levels. As the faculty grows and develops, the right candidate will have the opportunity to shape the faculty and influence its direction.
Due to local priorities, skills shortages and changes to Apprenticeship Standards there is a real opportunity to grow all adult and employer led provision, with support from the college and local employer forum. You will be creative, inspirational, entrepreneurial and driven to provide the very best learning experiences for our students and employers. You will have an eye for detail and be able to design and implement creative and flexible curriculum delivery models to meet both learner needs and employer demand. You will have strong leadership and management experience within the vocational sector coupled with a flair for enterprise and be able to contribute to our outstanding College.
