A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to head up our school finance team with responsibility for the professional management of the Finance function, reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations. As a pivotal position in the School the holder will be instrumental in the development and implementation of the School’s reporting and strategic plans.

As an experienced, qualified Accountant you will need to ensure that a robust financial control environment is maintained and be comfortable preparing, analysing and explaining financial and management information.  The Head of Finance provides key support to the Director of Finance and Operations, attends Governor committee meetings and will also be responsible for providing information to the School’s Trust and Foundation bodies.   

This role would suit someone who is an excellent accountant and wants to move into a role that works closely with senior teaching staff and other support departments such as IT, operations and HR to align goals, strategy and information sharing. By fostering open channels of communication, with strong interpersonal skills and developing an environment where ideas can be shared, the Head of Finance can have an impact that develops the entire organisation.

This is a full-time role, working an average of 37 hours per week, all year round.
