Job overview

Collingham College is seeking a dynamic Head for their GCSE Department. The Department is made up of around 40 students from Years 9-11, but the main student body is Year 11. Although it operates in liaison with the sixth-form college, the Department has its own building and is a small, independent school in its own right. It is housed in a historic and stylish 13-roomed building which has been recently refurbished and is located just off High Street Kensington.

The role is to manage and oversee all aspects of the students’ studies, ensuring the outstanding quality of both their academic and pastoral care.

It would suit a secondary professional with Form Teacher or Head of Year experience. Excellent management potential and organisational skills are essential, as is a real affinity for the 14-16 age group.

Collingham College is an independent, co-educational GCSE and Sixth Form College founded in 1975 and based in Kensington. The college is fully committed to safeguarding practices and follows safer recruitment procedures.

Person Specification and Job Description available upon request.
