A full time, well-qualified and innovative teacher is required to lead the History department at GCSE and A level for September 2021.
The History department at Claremont Fan Court is very successful and highly popular with pupils. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate an inspiring and effective teaching style and to have excellent subject knowledge.
The Mansion is an historic building and the history department is largely situated in Charlotte and Albany classrooms which witnessed the events which led to Queen Victoria’s accession to the throne.
Curriculum leadership experience would be an advantage but aspiring leaders are also encouraged to apply. A strong honours degree and a teaching qualification are expected along with relevant work experience and a willingness to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the school.
In return you can expect all the benefits of a thriving independent school: a competitive and progressive salary, pension, professional development, laptop, cycle scheme, lunches in term time and free parking.
“The quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is excellent” (ISI January 2017)
