Salary: £45,726 - £51,763 Per Annum (Pro Rata £44,688 - £50,588). Incremental progression throughout the band is available

Contract Type: Permanent (Term Time Only + 4 Weeks) | Hours per Week: 37 hours | Location: Cross College

About the Role

SCC Group has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Learning Support at the college. The successful candidate, will be a forward thinking, proactive and committed individual who will manage the cross-college Learning Support team to support and identify the needs of learners with difficulties or disabilities, literacy, numeracy and language needs at the college. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCP, High Needs Funding, exam access arrangements and additional support in a post-16 environment.

They should also demonstrate a clear and empathetic understanding of the barriers that a student can face and a proactive and determined approach to engaging and supporting students who access support delivered by the Learning Support Team. The successful candidate will also demonstrate experience high levels of specialist knowledge and experience of working in an educational setting. They will have highly effective communication skills, outstanding organisational skills and experience of working with internal and external stakeholders.
