Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Academy, where putting students first is part of our fundamental culture.

We are looking for an outstanding English teacher with the ability to lead on the acquisition and development of language and cultural capital across the academy. You will have the opportunity to work with lead practitioners to make a real difference to our understanding of what accelerates a learner’s progress.

You will need to be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a good track record of positive outcomes at GCSE, but be looking for a new challenge. You might already have some experience of leading a whole school initiative or mentoring/coaching colleagues and be looking to gain some leadership experience in a school that works in partnership with Teach First and Bath Spa University in the pursuit of excellence.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to inspire both staff and students and will demonstrate an intense curiosity about how we learn and develop language skills. We strongly believe that positive outcomes for our students come from the professionalism, commitment and passion displayed by our staff and invite you to join our successful team.

Do please come to visit us and see what an exciting opportunity our Academy can offer to a teacher looking to develop their leadership skills. You can make a significant contribution to narrowing the gap in achievement and attainment for our students and enabling them to go beyond their best.
