Downsend is a co-educational day preparatory school, providing education from 2-13 years. With three separate pre-preparatory schools, each with its own Head and dedicated staff, and a preparatory school for the older children, Downsend is a thriving and vibrant school which provides a refreshingly different education offering something for everyone.
These are exciting times for Downsend families and staff, with a multi-million-pound investment which will see the building of an Arts Centre, due for completion by September 2020, in readiness for the first cohort of Year 9 pupils.
The Head of Marketing and Admissions is primarily responsible for supporting the Heads to grow, deliver and improve pupil admission and retention across the four school sites. They will lead a team of admissions and marketing professionals with responsibility for the recruitment and admission of students to Downsend School as well as the marketing strategy and development of the brand.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in Marketing and Admissions, driving the number and the quality of applications and accepted offers, by providing excellent customer service to the school’s external partners and prospective parents and their children. They will lead the team across a range of platforms, ensuring that targets for enquiries, applications and confirmations are achieved and the quality of accepted candidates meets or exceeds the school’s standards.
