This is a full-time position with responsibility for teaching mathematics in Y5 and Y6 and preparing pupils for 11+, Scholarship and Common Entrance examinations. They will also have overall responsibility (in conjunction with the SLT) for overseeing the delivery of the mathematics curriculum throughout the school from Nursery to Year 6. The post holder will also be responsible for maintaining and updating policy and curriculum documents pertaining to the Department.

The successful candidate is likely to possess all or most of the qualifications, skills and experience, in addition to class teacher person and job specifications. Ideally, they will already have had experience of delivering the mathematics curriculum across year groups or departments and have prepared Year 6 pupils for 11+ and Common Entrance.

Hours of work: 8.00am until 4.00pm

Salary: Dependent on skills and experience and in accordance with the Alpha Plus scale.
