Job overview

Head of Maths

Permanent – Full time

Clayton Hall Academy is a ‘good school’ (Ofsted 2018) in the suburbs of Newcastle under Lyme.  With the recent appointment of a new Principal, it is an exciting time to be joining us.

As part of an Multi Academy Trust and following conversion to Academy status in 2015 our Mathematics department has implemented positive changes to the quality of teaching and learning, which are being reflected in results. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and creative leader who can demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and expertise, to join us on our journey of continuous improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teachers to join and lead a dedicated and committed team. As part of a growing multi-academy trust we can also offer the right candidates excellent potential career prospects.

The mathematics department is made up of six experienced members of staff, who deliver their lessons in specialist mathematics rooms equipped with interactive whiteboards. The successful candidate will be ably supported by the Second in Mathematics, and also have the support of the Trust Director for Sciences and Mathematics. The mathematics staff, like all of the Clayton Hall Staff,  are diligent and want the very best for the young people in their care.

We are proud of our school and our professional staff would be pleased to welcome you on an informal visit. If you would like a tour of our academy or an informal telephone conversation with the Principal, please contact Alison Clements at Hays Education.
