Head of Modern Foreign Languages
We have a unique opportunity to appoint a dynamic and innovative Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to take responsibility for the development, progress, and attainment of MFL from years 9 to 13. The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills and have a strong academic background as a graduate in MFL. The successful candidate will need to be able to teach French to A Level. The ability to teach Spanish or Latin up to KS4 would be an advantage. They will have the drive and determination to lead further forward a thriving and successful department, with a record of academic achievement and value added for its students. Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding practitioner, able to inspire and motivate, leading by example.
Languages are growing in popularity at the School and both French and Spanish are offered at A Level. The successful candidate will be building on strong foundations and be able to think strategically and plan for further growth of the department. The Head of MFL will also be responsible for ensuring that students are able to pursue first language qualifications when English is their second language.
